Scott Lake is just off the Old McKenzie Hwy 242. There is a restriction on vehicles and trailers over 35 feet about 10 miles from where it starts on Hwy 126, right where Camp White Branch is. We were in our truck, pulling our small Malone kayak trailer, which is (I measured after we got home) just about 35 feet long. Our trailer is very narrow, so we went anyway. We did okay, but that road is so narrow and winding, that bigger trailers or vehicles would not do well.

The boat ramp starts out gravel, then grass, then mud. There was a small drop to the water, about a foot. Not difficult, but squishy.

That said, the thing about Scott Lake is the view. The water is very shallow, or was when we were there in early August. One of our group literally walked across the entire section of the lake by the boat ramp, about 1/4 mile. There is a spot that is deeper, but it's not very wide.
The lake has reeds around the edges, but the middle is clear, as is the water, which was also comfortable to swim in.

There is another section to the lake, with a narrow strait joining the 2 parts, but the water was too low to navigate without porting, so we didn't check it out this time.

There are camping spots around each section of the lake, but most require packing in all of your gear There is no electricity or water.
This is certainly a beautiful place to kayak, and camp for a few days. If you like more secluded lakes with amazing mountain views, this is a must to try out.
